About Me

Hi there!

My name is Tonya Keefer.

I’m a writer, a mom of three, and someone who has learned that faith doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

For years, my life was shaped by ministry, family, and a path that felt clear and steady. But over time, that path changed in ways I couldn’t have planned. What once felt certain became uncertain, and I found myself learning how to trust God in a deeper, quieter way—one step at a time.

Steady in Grace is where I share that journey. It’s a place for honest reflections on faith, identity, and the unexpected places life takes us. The messy parts, the meaningful ones, and everything in between.

I’m also the author of The Church on the Dead End Road, a memoir about those very seasons—the ones we don’t choose, but the ones that shape us in ways we never could have imagined.

I don’t write because I have everything figured out. I write because I’m still walking through it. And if you are too, I hope you find something here that reminds you—you’re not alone.
